This policy explains how FFS FOODS (M) SDN. BHD. (company no. 200401033864 (672372-W)) handles personal data collected through https://ffs.com.my. It is written to meet our obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia).
1. What we collect
The only place this website asks you for personal data is the enquiry form on the contact page. That form collects:
- Your name, required, so we know who we are replying to.
- Your email address, required, so we can reply.
- Your phone or WhatsApp number, optional.
- Your company or business name, optional.
- The enquiry category you select and your message.
When you submit the form we also record the IP address the submission came from and the date and time it was sent. These are included in the email our sales team receives, and are used to investigate abuse of the form.
We do not ask for, and this website has no way to collect, any of the categories the Act treats as sensitive personal data: health, political opinions, religious beliefs or criminal records. Please do not include such information in your message.
2. How we use it
We use what you send solely to answer your enquiry and, where it leads to a quotation or an order, to carry out that transaction. That is the whole purpose.
We do not sell your data. We do not rent, trade or otherwise disclose it to third parties for their own marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry. If we ever run one, it will be something you opt into separately.
3. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising pixel, and no visitor-profiling script anywhere on the site. We do not know who you are as you browse, and we do not build a profile of your visit.
4. Third-party services
Three things on this site involve someone other than us. We list them because each one means your IP address reaches another company.
- Google Fonts. The typefaces used across the site are served from Google's font servers, so loading any page sends your IP address and browser details to Google. No cookie is set by this.
- Google Maps. The map on the contact page is not loaded until you click it. Until you do, nothing is requested from Google Maps at all. Once you click, the map is loaded from Google and is then subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Outbound links. Links to our Shopee storefront, our social media pages and WhatsApp take you to services run by other companies. Once you leave this site, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
Our web hosting provider processes data on our behalf in order to serve this site, including standard server logs.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are retained in our business mail system for as long as the commercial relationship or enquiry remains active, and thereafter only as long as we are required to keep business records. Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are deleted once they are no longer of use.
The anti-spam rate-limiting counter, which stores a one-way hash of your IP address rather than the address itself, expires within the hour and is not retained.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. The form is protected against automated abuse by rate limiting and bot detection.
We take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send confidential commercial terms, payment card details or identity document numbers through this form.
7. Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
- withdraw your consent to our continued processing;
- ask us to limit how we process your data, including for direct marketing;
- ask us to delete data we no longer have a reason to hold.
To exercise any of these, email info@ffs.com.my or write to us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity first. We aim to respond within 21 days, as the Act provides.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Department (Jabatan Perlindungan Data Peribadi), Malaysia.
8. Children
This is a business-to-business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be summarised here rather than made silently.
